Mumbai Metro Aqua Line: Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, will temporarily change its operating hours on Thursday, April 18. This adjustment is due to the final trial integration of the Aarey–BKC corridor. On this day, metro services will start later at 8:30 AM, instead of the usual 6:30 AM and will run until 10:30 PM.

The announcement was made via an official post on X (formerly Twitter), which explained, “As part of the final trial integration between the Aarey–BKC corridor and the new stretch up to Acharya Atre Chowk (six stations), Mumbai Metro Line 3 will operate with adjusted hours on 18th April from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM.”

Mumbai Metro Line 3 is the city's first fully underground metro line, stretching approximately 33.5 kilometres from Colaba in South Mumbai to SEEPZ in the north. It includes 27 stations, with key stops at Churchgate, Dadar and BKC. This line aims to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance public transport in one of the busiest cities worldwide.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance to accommodate the revised schedule.

In separate announcement, Central Railway has announced temporary restrictions on platform ticket sales at major Mumbai stations, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and Kalyan. The decision, shared by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mumbai on X (formerly Twitter), will be in effect from April 18 to May 15, 2025.

The measure aims to reduce overcrowding and ensure smooth passenger movement during the summer vacation rush. Railway authorities stated that the step has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incidents and to enhance safety and convenience for passengers at busy railway stations.
