The extension of the existing Mumbai Metro line 7 between Dahisar East and Gundavali (Andheri East) into metro line 7a towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) Terminal 2 from Gundavali will significantly slash the travel time between Dahisar to CSMIA, taking it to only 50 minutes.
Currently, the travel time between Dahisar and CSMI airport is 90 minutes, which is subject to traffic congestion on the way. Once Mumbai Metro Line 7A is fully operational, airport-bound commuters will be able to travel directly from Dahisar East to CSMIA Terminal 2 without changing trains.
Mumbai Metro Line 7A
Line 7a, on the Mumbai Metro’s red line, will cover 3.42 km, featuring two stations, Airport Colony (elevated) and CSMIA Terminal 2 (underground), connected to Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line).

Out of the total distance, 0.94 km will be an elevated corridor along the Western Express Highway, and 2.11 km will be built underground under the Sahar Elevated Road and sensitive utilities.
