A 23-year-old man was seen flying a drone in the Powai neighbourhood of Mumbai on Sunday, May 11, in defiance of the order. After the occurrence, the person was booked under the appropriate laws. Akbar Pathan, DCP (Operations), Mumbai Police, verified the incidence and emphasised the value of public collaboration.

In light of current national security concerns and the heightened tension between India and Pakistan following the April 22 terror assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people, the interim restriction has been put in place to guarantee public safety.

The Indian Armed Forces responded by launching 'Operation Sindoor' early on Wednesday, May 7, which targeted nine terror locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Pakistan has also used combat vehicles, drones, and unmanned aircraft systems to undertake massive assaults in response. However, during a press briefing on Sunday, Air Marshal AK Bharti stated that all Pakistani drones, combat vehicles, and aerial systems were successfully neutralised by India's air defence systems.
