Mumbai Accident: A 24-year-old milk distributor lost his life in a accident early Thursday morning in the Goregaon area. The incident occurred around 4 am in Aarey Colony when a speeding Mahindra Scorpio, driven by a 17-year-old boy, collided with his two-wheeler while the SUV was on the wrong side of the road.
The victim, Navin Vaishnaw, died at the scene after the SUV hit an electric pole following the collision. The young driver attempted to flee but was apprehended by the police due to his injuries. Authorities have also filed charges against the vehicle's owner, Iqbal Jivani, aged 48 and his 21-year-old son, Mohammed Faz Iqbal Jivani.

Police are conducting tests on the teenager's blood to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Investigations are ongoing to find out if he had been partying with friends before the incident.

In a separate accident, A 28-year-old woman, Sasikala Yadav, jumped into Versova Bay near Ghodbunder Road on Thursday, prompting her husband, Dinesh Yadav, to dive in after her. Despite initially grasping her hand, Dinesh lost his grip due to the strong current, and Sasikala was swept away. The couple had quarreled earlier that day, leading Sasikala to leave their home with their 2-year-old child. She informed relatives of her distress while at Fountain Inn Hotel. Dinesh and a family member attempted to calm her down, and they began to walk back home when she suddenly jumped into the water. Upon receiving the alert, Kashigaon police quickly arrived and rescued Dinesh using a motorboat, but efforts to locate Sasikala continue.
