A fire broke out in the Times Tower building in Mumbai's Lower Parel West on Friday. Nine fire tenders rushed to the site after receiving the information. According to an initial statement by BMC, no injuries have been reported so far.

According to the officials, no casualties have been reported yet in the blaze that began at 6.47 am. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and firefighting operations are underway.

Speaking about the fire incident MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said,"Fire broke out in the Kamala Mills Compound for the 3rd time in five years. There is no fire audit of the building...Illegal construction in the Kamala Mills Compound is increasing day by day."

He further demanded action against the illegal construction and said, "The local MLAs are supporting the illegal construction...Action should be taken against those responsible. Why are the public representatives supporting illegal construction?"

Notably, this is the third fire incident at the Times Tower building in Mumbai's Lower Parel West on Friday morning. According to the officials, firefighters used chisel hammer to break the locks of the doors of the second-floor offices up to the 14th floor.

A fire officer on the spot said "Fire is completely under control now. We are checking injuries in the incident. We faced problems due to the smoke and ventilation but our officers went inside wearing brrathing appratus".

He also said "We are investigating the fire audit".

Ambulances and police also helped in the firefighting operation. 

The Kamala Mills complex, known for experiencing several significant fires, is adjacent to the Parkside residential building.

Parkside residents revealed it was a "terrifying experience" to see plumes of flame and smoke rising close to their homes.

Residents reported that their security staff attempted to manage the fire using the building's firefighting equipment before the arrival of the firefighters.

"Our emergency team used our hose pipes before the fire brigade could reach the spot," claimed one of the residents
