Authorities said that a large number of delegates and visitors are expected to attend the event, which may cause heavy traffic congestion in and around the BKC area during the three-day period.
Commuters have been advised to avoid travelling through BKC, particularly during peak hours, to prevent delays. Police have also urged motorists to plan their routes in advance and use alternate roads wherever possible.

In an official statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Mumbai Traffic Police said, “In view of a major global event scheduled at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) from 7th to 9th Oct 2025, a large number of attendees are expected, leading to traffic congestion in and around the BKC area. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays.”
Additional traffic personnel are expected to be deployed in the area to manage vehicular flow and ensure smooth movement during the event.
In separate news, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has asked the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to explore the feasibility of constructing an underground tunnel linking Mumbai with the soon-to-be-inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The proposal was discussed in a high-level meeting attended by senior officials, including MMRDA Commissioner Dr Sanjay Mukherjee. With the airport expected to handle around 20 million passengers annually in its first phase, authorities believe a tunnel—possibly connecting Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to the airport—could offer faster, congestion-free access as existing road networks may fall short amid increasing traffic.
