Mumbai News: A woman in Mumbai has accused a Blinkit delivery driver of inappropriate behaviour during a delivery, sparking widespread discussion on social media. She shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing the alleged incident, claiming the driver touched her chest while handing over a parcel.

In her post, the woman alleged that the driver first asked her to confirm the address and then touched her inappropriately as he returned her change. The video, which quickly went viral, shows the delivery agent in Blinkit’s yellow uniform handing over a parcel and collecting payment. As he gives the change, his hand appears to touch the woman’s chest, prompting her to immediately move the package in front of her.

The woman also expressed disappointment with Blinkit’s initial response, stating that her verbal complaint was not taken seriously. She claimed that the company initially warned the driver and asked him to attend sensitivity training instead of taking strict disciplinary action.

However, after she shared the video evidence online, Blinkit reportedly terminated the delivery agent’s contract and permanently removed him from its platform.

The company later issued an apology on X, writing, “We’re truly sorry for the incident and understand how upsetting this must be. Please be assured that necessary actions have been taken as discussed.”

Mumbai Police Responded

Mumbai Police responded to the woman’s post and asked her to share her contact details through a private message for further assistance. Authorities said they are examining the details to decide on appropriate action.

Netizens Reaction

The video has drawn mixed reactions online. While a majority of users expressed support for the woman and demanded accountability, some suggested the contact might have been unintentional.

One user wrote, “Yes, it can be clearly seen he deliberately brought his hand close to your upper body and touched you inappropriately. You flinching can be seen. You're lucky or well prepared camera wise .. without this recording it would be hard to pin his crime. Take it up strongly.”

Another commented, “It's clearly evident, he didnt do it intentionally, You handed over the money on his right hand and the guy had Delivery on left! You are seeking attention! Simple.”
