Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Mumbai Police have announced temporary traffic restrictions on Wadala Link Road due to ongoing construction work for Mumbai Metro Line-4. The restrictions will apply within the Antop Hill Traffic Division area to ensure public safety during heavy construction activity.

Why The Restrictions Are Being Imposed

According to a traffic notification issued on Wednesday, the restrictions are required for the erection of Pier Cap P-78near:

  • Anik BEST Depot

  • Rustomjee Aspire building on Wadala Link Road

The work will involve cranes, multi-axle trailers and other heavy machinery. Due to the narrow width of the road, traffic movement needs to be regulated.

Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Restriction Timings

  • From: 11.00 PM on January 24, 2026

  • Till: 6.00 AM on January 25, 2026

The order has been issued by Dr Dipali Dhate, Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ & Central), Traffic, Mumbai, under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Roads That Will Remain Closed

During the restriction period, traffic movement will be stopped on the following routes:

  • Ahuja Bridge (southbound) near Padmashree Vasantdada Patil College

  • Northbound traffic from Lodha Signal towards Ahuja Bridge

  • North–south traffic from Anik BEST Depot towards Panchsheel Nagar Signal

Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Alternate Routes For Motorists

Motorists are advised to follow these diversion routes:

  • Southbound Ahuja Bridge traffic: Use Sion-Panvel Highway, travel from Sion Circle to Swarna Kaur Bindra Chowk, then proceed to Lodha Signal

  • Northbound traffic from Lodha Signal: Take a left turn towards RTO Chowk and continue towards Sion Circle

  • Northbound traffic from Anik BEST Depot: Take a U-turn near the Mahanagar Gas pump and proceed southbound
