Mumbai News: A BMW car caught fire while driving on the Jogeshwari bridge in Mumbai today, causing significant traffic disruptions on the busy route.
Officials reported receiving the emergency call at approximately 1:15 PM and the fire was brought under control by around 2 PM. According to NDTV report, there were no injuries reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. A video of the burning vehicle has gone viral on social media, drawing considerable attention from users. Authorities are investigating the incident.

In separate news, Mumbai recorded its coldest December morning in nine years on Monday, with the Santacruz observatory logging a minimum temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius, 5.1 degrees below the seasonal average. This is the lowest temperature recorded since December 24, 2015, when it dropped to 11.4 degrees Celsius.

The sharp dip in temperatures comes shortly after the city experienced its hottest December day in 13 years, with mercury levels soaring to 37.3 degrees Celsius on December 4. At the Colaba observatory, the minimum temperature was 19.2 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures remained moderate, with Santacruz recording 32.2 degrees Celsius, 0.9 degrees below normal and Colaba reaching 30.3 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees below typical levels.
Meteorologists predict that these cooler conditions will persist for a few days before temperatures gradually rise.
