Mumbai Train Update: Central Railway has announced a planned shutdown on the online system on a temporary basis for maintenance and system updates. In this regard, passengers using Mumbai Passenger Reservation System (PRS) for booking tickets, and other online services will not be able to do that during the weekend. The services will stop from 11.45 pm on March 29 till 3.45 am on March 30, 2025.
The online booking for trains under Mumbai PRS will also be paused. Passengers can still request TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) refunds following the usual rules. The Central Railway has advised travellers to plan their journeys in advance. They have also requested passengers to cooperate during this short period of maintenance.
During this time, passengers will not be able to use: Ticket booking and reservations Refund services for cancelled tickets Charting activities (which help finalise seat allocations) Train scheduling operations IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) for train enquiries Current reservation services for last-minute bookings Chart display and touch screen information services Refund counters and coaching refund terminals.
Block On Kalyan-Badlapur Route On Saturday
A special traffic and power block between Kalyan and Badlapur has been announced for Saturday. This comes after the authorities decided to remove girders from an old road bridge and build a new pipeline bridge. Due to which, the block will be implemented to ensure public safety. It will be in place from 1:30 am to 4:30 am on March 30, and will affect train services on both up and down south-east lines between Ambarnath and Badlapur.
Trains Diverted
everal long-distance trains, including the Bhubaneswar-CSMT Konark Express, Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, Hussain Sagar-CSMT Superfast Express, Hosapete-CSMT Express, and Chennai-CSMT Express, will be diverted via Karjat, Panvel, and Diva.
