Why Is There A Disruption In Water Supply?
The water supply will be disrupted due to operational work being undertaken by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). As part of this repair work, the civic body is shifting existing water connections to a 2,750-mm-diameter Upper Vaitarna main near Mulund West, with the work scheduled to begin on January 27.
Additionally, the BMC will install an iron cap on the 2,400-mm-diameter Vaitarna canal in the Khindipada area of Bhandup West, leading to a temporary disruption in water supply in that area.
