Mumbai Weather: A dust storm blew through the city of Mumbai on Friday afternoon, disrupting daily life and lowering visibility. Both local train services and traffic in the city were impacted by the dust clouds and strong dusty winds.

Meanwhile, IMD's most recent Mumbai forecast suggests a "partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershower" for the city and surrounding areas in the next few hours.

The meteorological agency issued the advisory on the Nowcast at 4:25 PM, forecasting light rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds with a maximum speed of less than 40 km/h in Mumbai.

“Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light spells of rain with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mumbai during next 3-4 hours," the weather agency said in the ‘Nowcast’ warning.

Temperatures will fluctuate from a cold 24 degrees Celsius in the morning to a warm 37 degrees Celsius during the day. There is 78% relative humidity. The sun will set at 06:53 PM, having risen at 06:30 AM.

The Santacruz observatory in suburban Mumbai recorded a high temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Mumbai weather forecasts.

The local observatory in Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 33.9 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 26.6 degrees Celsius, according to statistics from the meteorological department.

Mumbai AQI Today

With an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 76 at 9:05 AM on April 4, the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app stated in its most recent Mumbai weather updates that the city's air quality remained in the "good" category.

The AQI was 'good' in several parts of Mumbai, according to the SAMEER app dashboard. With an AQI of 42, the Bandra Kurla Complex recorded "good" air quality. The AQIs of 61, 79, and 85 for Ghatkopar, Malad, and Borivali, respectively, indicated "good" air quality.

Meanwhile, the AQIs for Byculla, Colaba, Kandivali, and Powai were 52, 53, 53, and 74, respectively, indicating "good" air quality.
