Bengaluru Weather Update: Bengaluru residents on Thursday expressed their frustration over waterlogging and the chaos due to the heavy rainfall. While sharing visuals on the social media platforms, the netizens slammed the authorities for poor infrastructure, expressing concern over where their tax money is being spent. One of the most affected areas due to the rainfall was Tavarekere Main Road, where most of the roads got blocked due to the waterlogging.

While the rainfall has reduced the temperature, providing a great relief to the residents from more-than-usual heat in the city, it has given them another issue to tackle. The vehicles could be seen stuck in the viral video for hours as the rainwater had led to traffic congestion in several key regions of the capital city of Karnataka.

Where Is Our Tax Money Being Spent?

The residents shared visuals from their localities and slammed the authorities for the poor infrastructure, adding that the city's infrastructure is not even capable of handling an hour of intense rainfall. While sharing the visual on the social media platform 'X', one of the users wrote, "Just 30 min rain and this is the condition, what's happening with our tax-paid money ??"

Apart from this, several residents also suggested the authorities to improve the drainage system of the city, claiming that the issue is being ignored. "When the tunnel road is built (if at all), stormwater will naturally find a convenient path to drain. Please thank our efficient BBMP," one of the netizens added.

Will It Rain Today In Bengaluru?

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a yellow alert for several districts of Karnataka, stating these regions will receive rainfall for the upcoming few days. While providing details, it stated that Bengaluru, along with other cities, is expected to receive rainfall till April 7, further warning the residents to limit their outings and follow the guidelines.
