Bengaluru Weather: The overnight intense rainfall in Bengaluru has caused waterlogging in several key regions, leading to inconvenience to the commuters. The rainfall continued till the morning hours of Tuesday in multiple areas making it tough for the authorities to remove the water. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the tech city is likely to witness similar weather conditions in the next two to three days.
Heavy Rain Disrupts Traffic
As per the reports, several key regions of Bengaluru, including Malleswaram, Basavanagudi, Town Hall, Anjanapura, Gottigere, Avalahalli, Konanakunte, RBI Layout and Banashankari witnessed very heavy rainfall on Monday. A large tree fell during the heavy rain and gusty wind in Malleswaram region, causing damage to two parked cars. The commuters faced inconvenience on Tuesday as the blockade was not cleared even after several hours.
While providing details, the officials stated that the vehicular movement has been affected in the low-lying regions due to the intense rainfall. However, they assured that the roads will be cleared soon, adding that the movement is likely to resume soon.

'Officials Helping Motorists'
"The overnight heavy rain and waterlogging have slowed traffic movement at several locations, particularly in low-lying areas. Our personnel are on the ground managing traffic, clearing obstructions and helping motorists navigate the affected stretches," a senior traffic police officer was quoted as saying by the Deccan Herald.
The heavy rain also caused waterlogging in the southern regions, such as Anjanapura, Gottigere, Avalahalli and Banashankari, Richmond Circle, MG Road, Nandini Layout, Rajajinagar and Girinagar. The commuters have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel in advance to avoid the rush.

More Rain Likely: IMD
The continuous rainfall also caused inconvenience to the IT employees and school children on Tuesday. As per the weather department, the residents will continue to witness rainfall and cloudy skies throughout the day.
