Mumbai Weather Forecast:  The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate rain with overcast skies in several parts of the city till August 4. Following the latest forecast by IMD, Mumbaikars are likely to witness respite from the torrential rain. The weather department has predicted light to moderate rain in the financial capital, with no alert for rain in place. Several parts of Mumbai, including Thane, Palghar, Navi Mumbai and Ratnagiri, are expected to witness moderate rain over the next couple of days.

Mumbai Weather: Moderate Rain With Cloudy Skies Expected; 7-Day Forecast

According to the latest forecast by IMD, Mumbai is set to witness moderate rain with generally cloudy skies this week. Earlier this week, the financial capital received heavy rainfall, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and lightning. Heavy rain led to waterlogging and a flood-like situation in several areas, forcing commuters to move through submerged roads and wait long hours in traffic jams in Mumbai and Pune.

Mumbai and its neighbouring areas are expected to experience one or two spells of rain with cloudy skies throughout the day. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will hold near 24 degrees Celsius.

July 30 (Wednesday):  The weather is likely to remain pleasant with moderate rain and cloudy skies bringing relief from heavy rains that battered the city last week.

July 31 (Thursday):  Similar to July 30, the skies will remain cloudy with a probability of moderate rain in multiple parts of the city. Mumbaikars may witness a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

August 1 (Friday):  The weather department has forecast one or two spells of rain accompanied by generally cloudy skies on Friday.

August 2 (Saturday):  According to the weather department, moderate rain may persist under cloudy skies. A drop in temperature is expected, providing relief to the residents.

August 3 (Sunday):  Mumbaikars are expected to witness partly cloudy skies with a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms on Sunday.

August 4 (Monday):  After a wet weekend, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain with no alert in place for next week.
