Mumbai Hit And Run Case: A 45-year-old woman from the fishing community of Mumbai lost her life in a hit-and-run accident in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident took place around 5:30 am on the busy Annie Besant Road in the Worli area. The victim, identified as Kaveri Nakhava, was returning home from Sassoon Dock, where she and her husband Pradip had been purchasing fish, when their two-wheeler was struck by a speeding BMW.

The force of the collision caused the couple to be thrown onto the car's bonnet. Pradip managed to jump off, but his wife was unable to do so. The BMW driver, identified as Rajesh Shah, fled the scene, leaving the injured Kaveri behind.

Passersby quickly alerted the authorities and Kaveri was rushed to the nearby Nair Hospital. She was declared dead on arrival, despite the efforts of the medical staff.

Pradip, Kaveri's husband, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital for his injuries. The police have detained both Rajesh Shah, the driver of the BMW and another occupant of the vehicle, Rajrishi Rajendrasingh Bidawat and have launched an investigation into the hit-and-run case.
