Traffic Advisory: The Mumbai-Pune Expressway will remain closed for vehicular traffic on May 23, Thursday, from 12 PM to 1 PM, due to installation work of a gantry along the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

The work is being undertaken as part of the Highway Traffic Management System.

However, motorists can take alternative routes to reach their destination, said MSRDC.

The notification states that motorists travelling from Pune to Mumbai via the expressway would be detoured onto NH 48, the former Mumbai-Pune route.

Similarly, buses and light vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai would divert via Khopoli exit on NH 48, crossing the Shedung toll on the way to Mumbai.

The release stated that vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai via the expressway will take the Panvel exit and continue their journey towards Mumbai, while vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai via the last lane at Khalapur exit will be diverted and routed directly towards Panvel from Shedung Phata.

The vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai via the old Pune-Mumbai highway will continue after passing Khopoli town to Shedung toll.
