The impact on Mumbai's public transport system has been significant. The incessant rain has led to widespread waterlogging on roads and railway tracks, causing delays in suburban train services, which are running 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule. The water accumulation on the tracks at Chunabhatti on the Harbour line, combined with the high tide, has slowed down train movements.

The Western Railway has stated that its suburban services are running, though not without challenges. All three major rail networks - Central, Western and Harbour - are currently operating with a 10-minute delay.
Mumbai Rain: Andheri Subway Closed

Maharashtra Rain: Nagpur Schools Closed
In Nagpur, the heavy rain warnings have prompted the closure of schools across the district, as Nagpur District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar confirmed that all educational institutions will remain shut today. While the situation at Nagpur airport remains unaffected, the city of Bhiwandi is facing a critical situation, with knee-deep water accumulation in several parts, including the Teen Batti area of Sabzi Bazar. Many low-lying areas in Bhiwandi are at risk of water entering homes and shops if the rains persist.
