Monsoon Has Advanced In THESE Regions
The IMD has reported that the southwest monsoon has now advanced into additional parts of the central Arabian Sea, southern Maharashtra, Telangana, southern Chhattisgarh, southern Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh. This progressive movement of the monsoon front is a positive indicator for the region's with water crisis, which have faced the brunt of a scorching heatwave in recent days.

Favourable conditions are anticipated to facilitate the further advancement of the southwest monsoon over the next two to three days, with the potential to reach additional areas of Maharashtra, including the bustling city of Mumbai, as well as parts of Telangana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a meeting on Sunday to review the ongoing heatwave situation and plan for the upcoming monsoon season. This year's monsoon has arrived two days earlier than the typical June 1 onset, with Kerala already experiencing widespread pre-monsoon showers.
In the previous monsoon season, rainfall across the country was recorded at 94 per cent of the long-term average, a promising sign for the year ahead.
