Mumbai Traffic News: The Mumbai traffic Police has released an advisory regulating traffic movements in South Mumbai on April 1 and April 7 in view of IPL matches scheduled to take place at the Wankhede Stadium. The police have announced the rules to ensure smooth vehicular movement and to mitigate potential congestion due to overcrowding.
Parking Rules
According to the circular, parking is not allowed from 12 noon to 11:55 PM. Also, no parking will be permitted on C, D, E, F and G Road from the Mafatlal Bath signal to the Air India junction, as well as on NS Road north and south of that intersection. Vehicles parked in the above locations will receive an E-challan and be towed away.
Check Routes To Take
The alternate routes for vehicular traffic are D Road, which is one-way (from West to East) from its intersection with N S Road (Marine Drive) to the intersection of "E" and C Road.
When necessary, vehicular traffic on F Road will only travel in one direction (from west to east) from its intersection with E Cross Road to the intersection with N S Road (Marine Drive). All forms of vehicular traffic on E Road must travel in a single direction, southward, from the intersection of D Road to the intersection of C Road.
Seven IPL matches will be held in Lucknow at Ekana Stadium, causing traffic detours. Parking information is displayed by the QR code on tickets. Get your tickets in advance. A temporary pick-and-drop station has also been offered.
