Mumbai Heatwave News: Mumbai saw pleasant weather with clear skies on Tuesday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the city and its suburbs will have clear skies throughout the day. The city experienced a maximum weather of 35 degrees Celsius today and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. Winds blew at 9.3 km/h, primarily from the north-northeasterly direction.

However, a severe heatwave is predicted by the weather department for the upcoming weekend. The effects of the heatwave that hit the city last week are still having a severe effect. After only a few days of respite, Mumbai and the surrounding areas now need to prepare for more intense heatwaves.

A degree or so above average, the coastal city's maximum temperature yesterday was 34.8°C. As the weekend draws near, the temperature is probably going to rise even more, maybe even into the following week.

There will be sporadic clouds over Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, along with a chance of light, brief drizzle. There won't be enough rain, if any, to create any calming circumstances. Warm, humid weather will keep the city and suburbs sizzling. A trough is extending north-south from Vidarbha-Marathwada to Kerala, passing through Goa, Coastal Karnataka, and North Interior Karnataka. All along the trough yesterday, there was sporadic weather activity. A similar pattern can be expected today as well. The trough will move slightly closer to the Konkan coast tomorrow.
