Navi Mumbai International Airport: The inauguration of Navi Mumbai International Airport, initially planned for September 30, has now been postponed to October due to the forecast of heavy rainfall across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Konkan area between September 27-29, Times of India reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was expected to inaugurate the under-construction Navi Mumbai International Airport along with the third phase of the Mumbai Metro-3 from Worli to Cuff Parade. “There is a lot of loose soil and muck on the roads leading up to the new airport in Ulwe, which may make it difficult for visitors to reach the airport,” the Times of India quoted an official from the Maharashtra chief minister’s office as saying.
