Pune Rape News: A man has been taken into custody for the alleged rape of his 11-year-old daughter in Pune. The case came to light when the young girl found the courage to speak out during a "Good Touch Bad Touch" initiative at her school. The girl has four sisters and both parents have reportedly subjected her to physical abuse.

The headmistress of the victim's school lodged a formal complaint at the Warje Malwadi Police Station, leading to the arrest of the girl's 35-year-old father. He faces serious charges under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 64 (punishment for rape) and Section 65 (rape of a woman under 12 years of age). He is also charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act of 2012.

According to Punekar News report, the victim attends an English medium school in the Warje area. Her mother works privately, while her father is accused of committing horrendous acts against his daughter. On September 30, the school principal was informed by a social worker regarding the abuse. After being informed, the headmistress took the girl to the counselling room for further discussion.

During this meeting, the victim revealed that she had been subjected to forced sexual relations with her father for the past year, causing her immense pain. She explained that her father would often send her sisters to their grandmother's house or give them money to keep them away while he assaulted her.

The father allegedly used obscene videos on the victim's mother's mobile phone to recreate scenes with his daughter. According to Punekar News report, the assaults took place at night on the terrace when the rest of the family was asleep. The victim also disclosed that during a time when her mother had gone to their native village, her father raped her and brutally beat her.

Following the revelations, both parents were summoned to the school for questioning. When school officials examined the mother’s mobile phone, they discovered inappropriate content. In response to inquiries about the alleged beatings, the mother claimed that they were meant to discipline the girl, stating that she did not listen and spent too much time on her phone.

Approximately 15 minutes after the parents arrived at the school, the accused father confronted his daughter outside her classroom, threatening her to remain silent about the abuse or face further violence at home. The victim later confided in the school’s social worker about this threat.

The school acted immediately, contacting the police to report the situation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam confirmed that the police registered the case promptly, leading to the father's arrest. He has since been presented in court and remanded to four days of police custody for further investigatio
