Pune Metro Update: The Pune Metro has been running seamlessly following its inauguration by PM Modi. Pune Metro enables lakhs of commuters to travel safely on a daily basis. On the occasion of Good Governance Day, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil assured that the state government would provide full support for the next phase of metro expansion and follow up with the central government for approvals on pending routes. Patil reviewed Pune Metro's operations on Wednesday and was briefed by MahaMetro Managing Director Shravan Hardikar on ongoing initiatives to increase ridership and improve services. Following review, Patil traveled by metro from the District Court Metro Station to Mandai Metro Station, where he welcomed local MLA Hemant Rasne.

The first phase of Pune Metro has received approval for extension works. The tender process for the Q Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)-Nigdi route has been completed, with work already underway. Similarly, the Swargate-Katraj route is in its final tender stage, and the contractor will soon be appointed to commence the project.

Pune Metro Update: Pune Metro Phase 2 Includes Seven Proposed Lines, With Several Routes Awaiting Approval From Central Government:

- Vanaz to Chandni Chowk (1.2 km): Two stations

-Ramwadi to Wagholi/Vitthalwadi (11.63 km): 11 stations

-Khadakwasla-Swargate-Hadapsar-Kharadi (25.66 km): 22 stations

- SNDT-Warje-Manikbagh (6.12 km): Six stations

Pune Metro Update: Following Routes Have Been Submitted To Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) For Approval:

-Hadapsar to Loni Kalbhor (11.35 km): 10 stations

-Hadapsar to Saswad (5.57 km): Four stations

Meanwhile, a detailed project report is being prepared for the Nigdi-Mukai Chowk-Wakad-Nashik Phata-Chakan route to explore future expansion opportunities.

With the successful progress of Phase I and the ambitious plans for Phase II, Pune Metro is set to further enhance the city's public transportation network, providing efficient and sustainable travel options to more areas of the city.
