Traffic And Crowed Control
The PCMC, in coordination with local police, is implementing traffic diversions and enhanced security measures. Road closures, detours, and no-parking zones will be enforced along the main procession routes to ensure smooth movement for devotees and prevent congestion.
Authorities are also deploying marshals and first-aid teams at key junctions to manage crowds and provide timely assistance.
Residents and businesses along the Palkhi routes are urged to cooperate fully with civic authorities. Staying informed about road closures and following safety guidelines will help ensure the events proceed smoothly and safely.
The PCMC has directed 1,494 hoarding agencies within its limits, especially those along the Palkhi procession routes, to urgently inspect and reinforce their installations. Officials emphasized structural safety to prevent mishaps during the high-footfall event and warned of strict action against negligent agencies.
Affected Areas
To help the public navigate, the PCMC has identified the main Palkhi procession routes: Nigdi to Dapodi, Dehu to Alandi, and Dighi to Bopkhel. These areas are expected to see heavy pedestrian traffic, and residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel during the procession days.
Live Palkhi tracking will be available on Pune Police’s official social media channels. For traffic updates and alternate routes, visit:https://diversion.punepolice.gov.in
