Pune Weather Update: Pune on Monday, November 17, recorded its first single-digit minimum temperature of the season, as a cold wave tightened its grip across the city. The minimum temperature dipped to 9.8 degrees Celsius, marking the sharpest drop so far this season. Meanwhile, Dhule recorded the lowest minimum temperature in Maharashtra at 6.2 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), minimum temperatures are expected to rise gradually after November 18, bringing much-needed relief to the residents.

Pune Weather: Pashan Records Season’s Lowest Temperature

Pune shivered on Sunday as it woke up to its first cold morning of the season on Sunday, with the temperature dipping to 10.6 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature further dropped on Monday.

Pashan recorded the season’s first single-digit minimum temperature on Monday, dropping to 9.8 degrees Celsius, while Shivajinagar also felt the chill at 10.2 degrees Celsius, which is below normal for this time of the year, Times Now reported.

Pashan’s reading matched those of Chandigarh, which recorded a maximum of 27.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.2 degrees Celsius. Other cities, such as Delhi, Patiala, and Amritsar, also witnessed a sharp rise in temperature.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a gradual rise in temperature after November 18, with nighttime temperatures expected to settle around 13-14 degrees Celsius and the daytime temperatures to hover around 30 degrees Celsius.

Maharashtra Weather Update

Dhule in Maharashtra recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature on Monday, dropping to 6.2 degrees Celsius from 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Nearby areas also experienced similar temperatures, with Ahilyanagar and Jalgaon recording temperatures of 9.5 and 9.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
