The altercation necessitated the involvement of CISF officers, who ultimately restrained the woman and her husband, removing them from the aircraft. They were then handed over to the airport police, who registered a case against her.

The couple, identified as a homemaker and a software engineer from Pune, were travelling to Delhi for a relative's funeral. A CISF officer noted that the woman seemed to be in significant emotional distress due to a personal emergency.

“She appeared to be in a state of extreme distress due to her situation. After her altercation with fellow passengers, the pilot refused to have her on board, which led the airline to seek our assistance as her behaviour became more violent,” the officer explained.

Senior Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari stated that the woman was released after being issued a notice to join the investigation when required. “We let her go after providing a notice that asks her to appear for questioning as needed,” he said.

Meanwhile, the airline staff and CISF officers have submitted their statements to the authorities and the passengers involved continued their journey to Delhi.
