Thane News: A stampede-like situation occurred during an event of Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri at Mankoli Naka in Thane, Maharashtra. The incident took place when Shastri was addressing devotees at an Indian Oil Company site in the Mankoli area.

The event, which was part of Dhirendra Shastri's satsang, saw a large crowd gather to listen to his katha. Following his speech, Shastri invited devotees to come up to the stage to receive "babhuti," a sacred ash. The devotees were instructed to approach the stage in an orderly manner, with women being asked to go first, followed by men. However, the crowd's eagerness led to chaos, as people moved forward at once to collect the bhabhuti.

Some women were escorted onto the stage for safety, but the pressure of the surging crowd made it difficult to maintain order.
