The Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor (VAMMC), spanning 126 kilometres, is expected to enhance connectivity across Maharashtra. The expressway, designed with 8 to 14 lanes and integrating road and metro systems, aims to link the northern suburb of Virar with the coastal town of Alibaug. Scheduled for completion by 2030 at an estimated cost of Rs 55,000 crore, the corridor is expected to reduce travel time by more than half.

This development will significantly benefit commuters, alleviating traffic congestion and boosting accessibility between Mumbai, Alibaug, and surrounding areas. Once operational, the project will provide a seamless travel experience, making Alibaug more accessible for daily commuters and tourists alike.
