1. The Secret Behind The Holy Name “Vrindavan” - This holy place was given the name Vrindavan because it has numerous Tulsi plants, and Tulsi is known by the name Vrinda. The adjoining of these two names together makes up "Vrindavan" which means a lovely forest of Tulsi plants.

2. There Are No Conch Shells In Sri Banke Bihari Temple - You might be surprised to learn that the Bankey Bihari Temple is one of the few in Vrindavan without bells or conch shells. Instead, during the prayers and dispensation of Prasad in the temple at dusk and dawn, people speak the name of the Lord. According to legends, Lord Krishna who took the shape of Bankey Bihari, disliked the sound of conch or shells.
3. Mystery Of Nidhivan - The iconic Nidhi Van, where the Lord adopts his human avatar for Rasleela, continues to fascinate devotees and residents of Vrindavan. Because of this legend, people are not permitted within the Nidhi Van after sunset. At midnight, it is said that Lord Krishna and his companion Radha Rani arrive and begin their Rasleela along with the gopis. He used his mystical powers to locate the ancient ruin that was said to be the original site of the well-known Govinda Deva temple that exists today.
5. Lord Krishna Footprints - One of Vrindavan's top attractions is the Radha Damodar Temple, where Lord Krishna's footprints can be still found today. According to legend, the lord appeared as a man to grant Jiva Goswami, a devotee, a chance to see him.
