The devotional hymn Hanuman Chalisa was written in honour of Lord Hanuman. The Chalisa is really a brief excerpt from the Ramcharitmanas, an epic poem composed in the sixteenth century by the Indian poet and saint Goswami Tulsidas. Devotees of Lord Hanuman sincerely believe that Chalisa, despite its many forms created for many deities, possesses a unique supernatural and psychic potential to heal a disturbed mind. Unlike standard Sanskrit shlokas, this collection of 40 chaupais, or poems, is written in simple language.
However, certain mistakes must be avoided as some strict rules must be followed while reciting the Hanuman Chaisa. Let us know about them further.
