Since it marks Lord Hanuman's birthday, Hanuman Jayanti is considered one of the most auspicious festivals in the Hindu religion. The day falls on the final day of the Chaitra Shukla Paksha, or the Purnima of the month of Chaitra. As the most powerful deity of the Kali Yuga, Lord Hanuman is worshipped with sincerity and is said to bestow benefits onto those who do so, including tremendous strength, courage, wisdom, and escape from all difficulties in life. He is regarded as a god possessing magical abilities and the power to drive off evil spirits. One of the most well-liked gods in Hinduism is Lord Hanuman, who aided Lord Rama in his mission to drive out evil forces. He is regarded as Lord Shiva's incarnation or avatar and stands for fortitude, tenacity, and fidelity. Hence, devotees worship Lord Hanuman on the day of Hanuman Jayanti to seek his blessings and attain his virtues.

Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Rituals Associated With This Day
- Since Brahmacharya (celibacy) is highly valued by Bajrangbali, celibacy should be observed on the day of Hanuman Jayanti.
- On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, one should wake up early and worship Lord Hanuman, Mata Sita, and Lord Shri Rama.
- Following that, it is customary to take a pure water bath, dress in clean orange clothing, and make a commitment to keep the fast for the remainder of the day.
- One must visit a Hanuman temple nearby or within their own home and do the Hanuman Puja.
