Apara Ekadashi 2025: Ekadashi occurs on the eleventh tithi of the phases of the moon in the Vedic calendar, with the increasing phase known as Shukla Paksha and the decreasing phase Krishna Paksha. There are 24 Ekadashis per year, and Apara Ekadashi, which is celebrated in Krishna Paksha of the month of Jyeshtha (May–June), is one of the most auspicious. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this Ekadashi is celebrated all over India for prosperity and wealth. This Ekadashi also goes by the names Apara Ekadashi, Jyeshtha Krishna Ekadashi, Bhadrakali Ekadashi or Jalakrida Ekadashi. This Ekadashi is said to wash away sins and bring fame, respect, and blessings to those who keep the fast devoutly. This year, Apara Ekadashi will be observed on 23rd May 2025.
