Chaitra Navratri 2024 Day 6: Goddess Katyayani is worshipped on the 6th day of Navratri. Maa Katyayani is one of Goddess Durga's most vicious manifestations. Given that the goddess vanquished the demon king Mahishasura, she is known as Mahishasurmardini. portrayed riding a lion, she is portrayed carrying the mudras of Abhaya and Varada in her right hand and a sword and lotus flower in her left. It is stated that Maa Katyayani is the destroyer of evil. 

It is believed that the blessings of Goddess Katyayani remove obstructions, drive out evil spirits, and cleanse devotees of their misdeeds. Furthermore, unmarried females fast on the day Maa Katyayani is worshipped during Navratri in hopes of finding their ideal husband. 

Chaitra Navratri 2024 Day 6: Puja Vidhi Of Goddess Katyayani 

- After taking a bath, devotees should offer incense and flowers to goddess Katyayani and light a ghee diya in front of her image. 

- The devotees can recite mantras and offer prayers to the goddess. 

- Towards the culmination of the Puja, devotees should perform aarti of the goddess and offer honey as bhog.

Devotees can offer honey as bhog to Mata Katyayani to seek her choicest blessings.
