Happy Dhanteras 2023: The auspicious day of Dhanteras is a sacred occasion that marks the beginning of Diwali festivities. On Dhanteras, people frequently do Dhanwantri Puja to end the agony caused by chronic illnesses. This strong god shields his followers from all diseases and injuries. It is also stated that the effects of poisoning and snake bites can be neutralised by worshipping Dhanwantri with total dedication and faith. When gods and demons were churning the ocean, Lord Dhanvantri, who is thought to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, emerged with a pot of Amrit, or the nectar of immortality, in his hands.

According to ancient Vedic texts, Lord Dhanvantari is regarded as the founder of Ayurveda. He is credited with granting all living things - including gods and demons the boon of good health, strength, energy, and longevity. 

Dhanteras 2023: Shubh Muhurat For Dhanwantri Puja 

The auspicious time to worship Lord Dhanwantri, Lord Kuber and Goddess Lakshmi on the day of Dhanteras will start at 05:47 PM and end at 07:47 PM on 10th November 2023.

Dhanteras 2023: Puja Vidhi And Rituals To Worship Lord Dhanwantri 

- The worship of Lord Dhanwantri should take place during the Pradosh Kaal on the day of Dhanteras. 

- Place an idol or image of Dhanvantari Ji (Dhanteras puja) on a pedestal that has been put out in the puja room and covered with a crimson or yellow cloth.

- During the five-day festival of Diwali, devotees should also worship Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh and Kuber.

- Before lighting the ghee diya in front of the deities, make sure to place Akshat or wheat at the bottom. Offer water to all the Gods and Goddesses with water from the Kalash. 

- By presenting Roli Kumkum, turmeric, yellow rice, flowers, Durva, betel leaves, flowers, Shree Phal, and Naivedya, you can give prayers to all the deities.

- It is also considered auspicious to Purchase a broom on the day of Dhanteras. Make sure to offer Turmeric, salt, lotus seeds, and gomti chakra to Lord Dhanwantri on the day of Dhanteras in order to welcome his blessings. 

- Pray to Lord Dhanvantari for the destruction of diseases, good health and longevity of the lives of all the members of the family.
