Radha Ashtami Vrat Kaise Kare: Radha Ashtami 2025 or Radha Jayanti is all set to be celebrated on 31st August 2025. According to the Hindu Panchang, Radha Ashtami is observed on the eighth day of Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. This day is particularly significant for the devotees of Radha Rani and Lord Krishna, who observe a fast to welcome the arrival of their beloved Kishori Ji. Unlike Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami Vrat is observed till noon until the main worship is performed.

How To Do Radha Ashtami 2025 Vrat: Complete Guide And Rules To Follow (Radha Ashtami Vrat Vidhi)

- To observe the vrat of Radha Ashtami, devotees must wake up early during the Brahma Muhurat. After performing the cleansing routine, clean the puja altar and vow to uphold the Radhashtami fast.

- Devotees can choose to uphold a Nirjala Vrat (abstaining from food and water) or a Falahari Vrat (only consuming fruits) according to their health permits. The Radha Ashtami vrat is only culminated after noon, when the complete puja and Madhyahna Abhishekam is performed.

- As a part of the morning puja, devotees must do naam jaap and recite Shri Radha Kripa Kataksh Stotra or listen to Shri Radha Sahastranama. The devotees can also recite Radha Rani mantras and the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

- During the Madhyahna Kaal, devotees must perform the abhishekam of Yugal Jodi (Radha-Krishna idols) with Panchamrit - milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar. In case the adherents do not have the idol of Radha-Krishna at home, they can perform the abhishekam of their Laddu Gopal, assuming him to be Radha Rani, as they are non different from each other.

- Following the abhishkam, dress Shri Radha Rani in royal blue clothes, as it is considered to be her favourite colour due to its association with Lord Krishna. Perform shringar of Shri Radha Krishna and offer tulsi leaves, fresh flowers, sandalwood paste, incense sticks, ghee deepam and bhog.

- For Radha Ashtami Bhog, devotees can offer arbi sabji, poori, plum chutney, and malpua, as these are considered to be the favourites of Shri Radha.

- Devotees can break the Radha Ashtami Vrat after performing the Abhishekam and puja during the noon on Radha Ashtami. However, the devotees who wish to keep the vrat during the entire day must break their fast the next day after Brahma-Muhuratam, and consume Ekadashi prasadam only, refraining from grains and tamasic items.

- Make sure that onion-garlic is not used at home on Radha Ashtami, and even the people who are not observing Radha Ashtami Vrat must refrain from eating tamasic food items.

- Throughout the entire day, make sure to do the maximum amount of Naam Jap, chant more rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra and listen to the divine leelas and pastimes of Shrimati Radha Rani and Lord Krishna.
