Janmashtami 2023 Date In Mathura: Shri Krishna Janmotsav is near and Hindu devotees are preparing for the joyous occasion with great enthusiasm. Preparations are going on in the temples as well to celebrate the birth of the great God. People in lakhs visit Mathura as many special events are held to celebrate this day. The celebrations of the birth of Lord Krishna will last for three days. Like every year, people are confused between two dates to observe this festival. Many devotees follow the same date on which Janmashtami is celebrated in Mathura.
Janmashtami falls on the eighth day of Krishna paksha. Kapil Sharma, Secretary Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan revealed the date on which Janmashtami will be celebrated in Mathura and Banke Bihari Mandir. Know what he has to say.
Janmashtami 2023 Date In Mathura:
In Braj, Janmashtami will be celebrated for three days. In the ancient temple of Thakur Shri Keshav Dev, the festival will be celebrated on September 6. Lord Krishna's birth is celebrated on the day of Ashtami. So, the other temples in Mathura will observe the festival on September 7. In Nandgaon, it will be celebrated on September 8.
Astrologer Kameshwar Chaturvedi revealed that Ashtami will start at 3.37 pm on September 6 and will last till 4.14 pm on September 7. Ashtami will be on 6th and 7th September that is why the festival is being celebrated on two days.
Time For Lord Krishna Mahabhishek
- Shri Ganapati and Navagraha Sthapana: 11 PM
- Sahastrarchan: Till 11.55 PM
- Doors close for darshan: 11.59 PM
- Prakatya Darshan, Aarti: 12 midnight to 12.05 midnight
- Mahabhishek: 12.05 AM to 12.20 AM
- Birth Mahabhishek of Lord Krishna: 12.20 AM to 12.40 AM
- Shringaar Aarti: 12.40 AM to 12.50 AM
- Shayan Aarti: 1.25 AM to 1.30 AM
