Janmashtami 2023: Nidhivan, which means a beautiful “Tulsi Forest” is one of the most sacred places of worship in Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The pious Nidhivan is considered to be the most sacred site dedicated to the transcendental pastimes of Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna along with the gopis.

This divine place has many Tulsi trees of low height but growing in pairs with interlocking stems. In addition to the Tulsi tree, the Nidhivan also features a temple called Rang Mahal. On the premises of Nidhivan, there is also another temple called Bansichor Radha temple where Radha Rani stole Krishna's flute, a temple dedicated to Swami Haridas who with his utmost devotion created the idol Banke Bihari, lalita kund and raslila sthali, where raaslila is performed. According to local legend, there are some mysterious facts associated with Nidhivan. Let us check them out further.

Janmashtami 2023: Mysterious Facts About Nidhivan

No One Can Stay There At Night - It is believed that after the Arti, the periphery of the temple is restricted to all species. This is because Lord Krishna appears here at night to perform Ras Leela along with Radha Rai and other gopis. Legend has it that anyone who stays at the temple at night will become blind or lose the ability to hear and speak. So whoever dares to perform the act of staying in this temple will not live the next morning to reveal this spiritual secret of Nidhivan.

Secret Of Rang Mahal - The temple priest keeps two toothbrushes, a sari, bracelets, paan (betel leaves), holy water in a jar with Laddoos and a bed ready every day after aarti at night, but in the morning, everything seems to be scattered, which adds even more mystery to Nidhivan. It is believed that Lord Krishna and Radha Rani come there to rest after performing Raas Lila. Even the monkeys in Nidhivan leave the temple premises after Arti!
