Kartik Maas 2025: The Kartik Month, also known as the Damodar Month, is a sacred period in the Hindu calendar, beginning after Sharad Purnima. This is the eighth month of the Hindu Calendar. This spiritually significant month is filled with devotees engaging in various religious and spiritual activities. This sacred month is the last among the Chaturmas period and features important Hindu festivals like Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, Goverdhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, Dev Uthani Ekadashi, among many others.

This month is additionally known as the favourite month of Shri Radha Rani, the consort of Lord Krishna. Devotees revel in the divine love of Lord Krishna and Srimati Radha Rani, cherishing the enchanting tales of Krishna's childhood. This month is also known to celebrate Lord Krishna’s Damodar Lila, where his Mother Yashoda binds him to an Okhal. For the Hindu devotees, Kartik Maas is the most spiritually significant month.

- Start your day with a refreshing holy bath known as Kartik Snan, in sacred rivers or at home, to cleanse your soul and set a positive tone for the day.

- Light a ghee diya in front of deities or near rivers, a beautiful way to dispel ignorance and bring enlightenment into your life.

- Observe fasts on Mondays for Lord Shiva and Ekadashi for Lord Vishnu.

- Recite mantras and sing hymns dedicated to Lord Vishnu, such as the Vishnu Sahasranama.

- Devote time daily to reading scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, or Puranas, to gain spiritual insight and wisdom.
