Kartik Purnima 2023: The sacred Kartik Purnima is one of the most significant festivals in Hinduism. It occurs on the day of the full moon in the Hindu month of Kartik. Hindus celebrate the event with great fervour and devotion, and it has great religious and spiritual significance. Another name for Kartik Purnima is Dev Deepawali. Devotees engage in a variety of spiritual and religious practices during this month, including fasting, praying, and donating to the needy. On this day, one can obtain Moksha, or freedom from the cycle of birth and death, by bathing in the sacred rivers and washing away their sins.

Kartik Purnima is also noteworthy because it signifies the conclusion of the Chaturmas period, which is observed by Hindu monks and sages for four months of discipline and penance. The devotees celebrate the conclusion of this period with tremendous fervour, praying to Lord Vishnu and asking for his blessings. This year, the Kartik Purnima will be observed on 27th November 2023. However, there are a few do’s and don’ts that should be followed on this sacred day.
