Panchak January 2024: Why Auspicious Tasks Are Not Performed During This Period
- People often refer to Panchang in Hindu Vedic astrology and utilise it to determine the best time to carry out specific tasks, like as getting married, launching a business, building a house, etc. Since timing is so crucial, people go to great lengths to choose the ideal moment. According to Hindu beliefs, Panchak is an extremely inauspicious period.
- The five-day Dosha period known as Panchak Yoga occurs when the moon is in the final two signs of the zodiac, Aquarius and Pisces. It is an extremely unfavourable time of year. Due to the unfavourable stellar combination, it is advised against beginning any significant work or holding any auspicious ceremonies during Panchak Yog, including marriage, mundan, Griha Pravesh, Upnayan Sanskar, housewarming, welcoming a new bride, etc.
- A group of five is referred to as a panchak. According to Vedic astrology, Panchak is the result of five constellations, or Nakshatras, coming together to form Panchak Nakshatras. They are Uttara Bhadrapada, Shatbhisha, Poorva Bhadrapada, Dhanishtha, and Revati Nakshatra.
- A child born in Panchak Nakshatra is prone to a variety of birth problems throughout their lifetime. The moon passes through five Nakshatras during Panchak Yoga. As a result, each Nakshatra has certain birth abnormalities.
- It is thought that those who pass away in Panchak Kaal do not achieve moksha or salvation. If a death occurs during Panchak and appropriate Vedic cremation rites are not followed, there's an increased probability that four members of the deceased's family will pass away within a year.
