Radha Raman Prakat Utsav 2025: The birth anniversary or Prakat Utsav of Shri Radha Raman Laal in Vrindavan is observed every year on the auspicious occasion of Vaishakh Purnima as per the Hindu Panchang. Radha Raman, or "the one who delights Radha Rani," is one of the three joint forms of Radha and Krishna, the others being Banke Bihari and Radha-Vallabha. Radha Ramana Temple in Vrindavan is an old and sacred temple devoted to this divine incarnation. In the tradition of Gaudiya Vaishnava, Gopala Bhatta Goswami manifested the deity of Radha Ramana in the 16th century as a self-manifest form of Krishna. This year, the sacred occasion of Radha Raman Prakat Utsav is set to be celebrated on 12th May 2025.

Radha Raman Prakat Utsav 2025: Significance
The legend of the appearance of Sri Radha Raman Ji is highly inspiring and precious to the devotees. Gopala Bhatta Goswami was left all alone and dejected after Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's disappearance. When Gopala Bhatta was taking a bath in the Kali-Gandakini River of Nepal, he immersed his water pot in the river and discovered 12 shaligram shilas in it. He put them back into the water, but to his surprise, they kept coming back into his pot. Finding out their sacred nature, he brought them to Vrindavan and started worshipping them with devotion.
Even though he used to worship the shaligrams, Gopala Bhatta yearned to serve the Lord in a shape that he could dress up and adorn. A rich devotee once gifted him lovely garments and ornaments, which he did not like very much. Early next morning, to his wonder, he witnessed a marvellous form of Sri Radha Raman Ji emerging out of one of the shaligrams. His divine form was delicate in feature and beyond description in beauty. This heavenly occurrence took place on the Vaisakh full moon day (Purnima) in 1542, and ever since that time, worshippers have observed this heavenly descent with immense celebration annually at the holy Radha Ramana Temple in Vrindavan.

Radha Raman Prakat Utsav 2025: Rituals
Annually, worshipers observe the appearance day of Sri Radha Raman Ji with utmost devotion and rituals. The sacred festival entails a special abhishekam ritual in which the deity is lovingly bathed with 100 litres of milk, amongst other auspicious ingredients. The ritual signifies purity, devotion and gratitude to the Lord. In addition to Sri Radha Ramana Ji, the rest of the Salagram Shilas that used to be worshipped by Gopala Bhatta Goswami are also kept on the altar and worshipped with the same dedication. Even though there is no physical form of Radha Rani other than Radha Ramana Ji, a Gomati Chakra is duly kept on His left side to represent Her divine form.
Devotees from all over the world wait avidly for this holy event called the 'Prakat Utsav' and approach the Radha Ramana Temple at Vrindavan to have the darshan of the Lord. The vibrancy of the day fills the temple with joy, devotion and sincere prayers as devotees gather to commemorate the miraculous arrival of their dearest Radha Ramana Lal with fervent devotion.
