Shani Jayanti 2024: Since Shani Jayanti is considered to be the birth anniversary of Lord Shani (Saturn), it is also known as Shri Shanaishcar Janma Diwas. On this same day, ladies also observe the Vat Savitri Vrat. Shani Jayanti is observed on Amavasya Tithi in the month of Jyestha in 2024, according to the Hindu calendar. This year, Shani Jayanti is being observed on 6th June 2024.

Shani Jayanti 2024: Significance Of This Day 

Lord Shani is the ruler of the planet Saturn and the god of Saturday. In terms of celestial motions, Saturn is believed to be the planet with the slowest motion. Therefore, the location of this planet in a person's birth chart has enormous and crucial astrological importance. People are afraid of Saturn since it is typically seen to have negative impacts on native people's lives.

However, it is a fact that this slow planet is the planet of Karma. Success is only available to those who have persevered through penance, adversity, and difficulty and who have built their lives with diligence, self-control, and earnest efforts. 

Therefore, Hindus worship Lord Shani and pray to him in an effort to appease him and lessen its negative consequences. Devotees are showered with good fortune by fasting on the day of Shani Jayanti and visiting the temples of Lord Shani.

Shani Jayanti 2024: Rituals Associated With This Sacred Day 

- Pujas are performed specifically to appease Lord Saturn. 

- On this day, special tantric pujas hold particular significance as they call upon the blessings of Shani dev.

- It is believed that performing all charitable and donation-related activities absolves a person of all suffering, especially that which is caused by Saturn's malevolent influence.

One's life can be profoundly impacted by helping others on Shani Jayanti, whether directly or indirectly.

- Devotees also recite Sunderkand Path and Shri Ramcharitmanas alongside chanting Shani Chalisa on this day.
