India have wrapped up its outstanding performance at the Hangzhou Asian Games with a record-breaking medal haul. India secured a total of 107 medals, consisting of 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze.

This achievement has propelled India to a 4th place in the Medal Tally, marking their best standing since the 1962 Jakarta Asiad, where they secured the 3rd position. It's worth noting that India's previous best performance was at Jakarta 2018 with 70 medals, including 16 golds.

The Asian Games 2023, which provided two weeks of unforgettable sporting moments, is set to conclude with a closing ceremony. Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is expected to be the flag-bearer for India during this momentous occasion.

In line with the event's theme, "Heart to Heart," the closing ceremony will revolve around the spirit of love and mutual respect. The spotlight will be on the athletes and volunteers who have been the driving force behind this extraordinary event.

The Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, often referred to as the Big Lotus, will be transformed into a mesmerising display with thousands of luminous points, creating a visually stunning experience for all attendees.

The closing ceremony is scheduled to last approximately 75 minutes and will feature a captivating blend of ceremonies and performances showcasing China's technological advancements and rich culture.

The ceremony will revisit the special moments of the Asian Games 2023 on giant screens and conclude with the digital torch bearer, a figure who also made a memorable appearance during the opening ceremony. To add to the grandeur of the closing ceremony, over 2,100 performers will take the stage this Sunday.

Among the standout performers for India in Hangzhou were compound archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam, who clinched three gold medals, javelin sensation Neeraj Chopra, shuttlers Satwik-Chirag, the shooters, as well as the Indian hockey, kabaddi, and cricket teams.
