Indian shooters continue to shine at the Asian Games, with the trap shooting events delivering more medals for the Indian contingent. In the men's trap shooting event, India secured the gold medal, courtesy to the outstanding performance of the trio consisting of Prithviraj Tondaiman, Kynan Chenai, and Zoravar Singh Sandhu. They demonstrated their shooting prowess by collectively amassing an impressive score of 361 during the qualifications, surpassing their competitors from Kuwait and China.
Their closest competitors from Kuwait, consisting of Khaled Almudhaf, Talal Alrashidi, and Abdulrahman Alfaihan, put up a fierce fight but ultimately settled for the silver medal with a score of 359. The host nation, China, represented by Yuhao Guo, Ying Qi, and Yuhao Wang, secured the bronze medal with a combined score of 354.
Furthermore, the women's trap team, contributed to India's medal haul by clinching the silver medal.

In the women's trap team event, represented by Manisha Keer, Preeti Rajak, and Rajeshwari Kumari amassed a total score of 337, showcasing their precision and skill. However, it was China's Qingnian Li, Cuicui Wu, and Xinqiu Zhang who set a new world and games record with an astounding score of 357, clinching the gold medal. Kazakhstan's Mariya Dmitriyenko, Aizhan Dosmagambetova, and Anastassiya Prilepina secured the bronze medal with a combined score of 336.
Indian shooters have consistently delivered exceptional results across various shooting events at the Asian Games, showcasing their talent and dedication. In a noteworthy development, Manisha Keer advanced to the finals in the women's trap individual competition, further solidifying India's dominance in the shooting discipline at the Asian Games.
