This victory is special for the Smash Brothers as they had already been runners-up at China Masters in 2023 and 2025. The victory also comes after a tough time, including injuries and a layoff from competitive badminton for quite some time.
Satwik-Chirag Bounce Back After Slow Start
The match was not as per India's expectations. Ren and he forced Satwik and Chirag to go through a difficult phase, winning the first game 21-11.
Nonetheless, India's pair, ranked fourth, appeared to bounce back in the second game. With Satwik's smashing and Chirag's interceptions interrupting their rhythm, the Indians won this innings comfortably with a score of 21-13. The game's momentum turned towards India as it went into the crucial phase.

Satwik and Chirag remained focused on the third game, not giving much chance for their rivals to take charge. They broke the game off in the deciding inning as they narrowly won 21-17.
Third Final Finally Brings The Title
The triumph was a perfect end to the Indians' spectacular journey in Shenzhen. They had reached the finals of the China Masters for the third time in four years by getting the better of Malaysia’s Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong with a score of 21-16, 18-21, 21-11 in the semi-finals.
The comeback is yet another instance of the Indians’ strong resolve. Having found themselves at 0-5 at one point in the first game, the Indians managed to stage a recovery before dominating the third game, which paved the way for their entry into the final on Sunday.
While the Indians performed well throughout the tournament, they had not won the title in the finals of the two previous editions in 2023 and 2025.
