Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr captain added another trophy to his cabinet as he added an incredible feather to his cap after winning the Globe Soccer Maradona Award for the Best Goalscorer.
The 38-year-old has been in sublime goal-scoring form for the past few months as he turned back the years with a remarkable 2023 year for both the club and the country.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored 54 goals in 59 games across competitions. That includes 44 goals in 50 games for Al-Nassr and 10 goals in nine outings for Portugal in their successful UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Ronaldo finished with two goals more than Bayern Munich's striker Harry Kane and PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
Ronaldo, Kane, and Mbappe were among the five players who ended the year with 50 goals. The other player to do so was Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who netted exactly 50 times for City and Norway in 2023.

While Ronaldo also won the Best Middle East Player and the Fans Favourite Player awards, Haaland was named the Best Player for his phenomenal goal-scoring record for Manchester City.
Haaland had an incredible first season with the Premier League club as he played a crucial role in helping them clinch their first-ever treble, winning the league, FA Cup, and Champions League.
However, it was the legendary figure of Ronaldo who emerged at the top of all of the youngsters to bag the coveted honor, receiving the award at a glittering award ceremony in Dubai on Friday (January 19).

"Congratulations to CRISTIANO RONALDO on winning the 2023 Globe Soccer's MARADONA AWARD for Best Goalscorer," Globe Soccer Awards congratulated the veteran on X.
Ronaldo, who is currently enjoying a midseason break, was asked a number of important things to which he had answers that went on to hit headlines massively.
City were named the Best Club and Pep Guardiola, their legendary manager, received the Best Coach award.
Ronaldo's pick for the ongoing Champions League season
Cristiano Ronaldo is known to be one of the greats to have played the elite competition as he remains the all-time top scorer (140 goals) despite not being part of it for the past two years.
However, he continues to follow the competition which he won five times, and named three teams that could win European club football's popular competition.
He picked reigning champions and treble winners Manchester City to go back-to-back while cheekily adding that he doesn't want them to.
“I think Manchester City has a great chance of winning the Champions League again this season," he said (as per Sport Bible). "I hope not (they don’t win), but I think they have a chance.”
Notably, Ronaldo won the Champions League four times for Real Madrid, who are also among the contenders for this season, and one with Manchester United.
