Team India will bring the curtain down on its Commonwealth Games 2026 campaign on Sunday, with judokas and track cyclists carrying the nation's medal hopes on the final day of competition before the Closing Ceremony.
Day 10 saw Indian athletes collect a rich haul of medals, headlined by a historic boxing campaign. India enters the last day placed fourth in the medal standings with 39 medals (13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze). The contingent will be aiming to cross the 40-medal mark and add a few more podium finishes before the Games conclude.
The final day's schedule is compact but packed with medal opportunities. India's challenge will come in judo, where several judokas will look to fight their way into medal bouts, and track cycling, with riders competing in endurance and sprint events at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
India heads into the finale on the back of one of its finest-ever boxing performances at the Commonwealth Games.
The boxing contingent delivered seven gold medals and three silver medals, with standout performances from Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Choudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary and Anamika Hooda, while Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain and Hitesh Gulia settled for silver.
The medal rush helped India surge into the top four of the overall standings.
Elsewhere, India's para-athletes also scripted history with their best-ever Commonwealth Games performance, while athletics, weightlifting and judo contributed crucial medals during an impressive Glasgow campaign.
With only two sports remaining, India's final objective will be to finish strongly before attention shifts to the Closing Ceremony, where Glasgow will officially conclude the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
