Kylian Mbappe is set to be included in Paris Saint-Germain's first-team, squad following ‘constructive’ talks with the club’s hierarchy.

PSG are trying their very best to resolve the Mbappe contract situation as well, and there is a feeling now that the player could renew his agreement with the club.

The World Cup winner wants to play this season for the Ligue 1 giants and leave for free when his contract runs out, but the club wants to sell him to stop this from happening.

“After very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player has returned to training with the first-team group this (Sunday) morning,” PSG said in a statement on Sunday.

The club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly addressed the players at training on Sunday to tell them that Mbappe was once again part of the squad for the season.

Mbappe wasn't part of the squad for the pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea and then trained apart from the first-team regulars last week. Now he could be available and play against Toulouse on Saturday.

The 24-year-old's future at the Parc des Princes remained uncertain with speculations ever since the ongoing transfer market opened and the French star denied a contract extension which is set to run out at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

PSG received a world-record $332 million bid from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for Mbappe but the player refused to meet with representatives of the club when they were in Paris last month to sign another player.

The 24-year-old Mbappe is widely thought to want to join Real Madrid next season on a free transfer, complete with a massive signing-on fee.

Mbappe watched from the stands with new signing Ousmane Dembele on Saturday night as defending champion PSG drew 0-0 at home to Lorient, kicking off the new campaign on a disappointing note.

“This situation has existed before, and a positive solution was found with the club. I hope an agreement is reached, which is something I would like,” manager Luis Enrique said ahead of their first game. “But the club is above everything, the coach, the players.”

“I am not going to say anything else, the first answer expressed my opinion clearly,” he added.
