Lamine Yamal at WWE SmackDown: Lamine Yamal, Barcelona and Spain's young football sensation was seen in attendance at the WWE SmackDown event at the Olimpic Arena on Friday.

WWE kicked off their promotional tour with a stopover at the Spanish city during which Lamine was seen posing with some notable superstars and the photos and videos of the event have gone viral on social media.

Lamine recently played a vital role in Barcelona's recent win over Benfica in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg fixture at home. Barcelona made it through to the quarterfinals of the elite competition with an aggregate win of 4-1 over Benfica.

Two nights after the all-important action, Yamal, who announced his arrival last year during Spain's triumphant Euro campaign, attended WWE SmackDown with his friends.

WWE will continue to visit several venues across the European continent and the promotion usually will have celebrity guests from the city attending the event.

The 17-year-old Barca winger was seen holding the WWE title on his shoulders. He also shared a picture of himself with the WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque aka Triple H and even got to meet the reigning Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes. He also captured a video of Randy Orton delivering his famous finishing move RKO and posted it on his official Instagram account.

WWE continues its European tour with special live events in Germany this weekend before heading to Brussels, Belgium for next Monday Night's Raw followed by a stopover in Bologna, Italy for SmackDown.

Talking about Lamine, he will next be seen in action during Barcelona's all-important match against Atletico Madrid on Sunday (March 16) night at the Metropolitano Stadium in the Spanish capital. The match is going to be a crucial one for both the clubs considering the ongoing neck-to-neck La Liga title race.

Barca currently lead the points table having played one game lesser than their close competitors, but Atletico and their city rivals Real Madrid are breathing down their necks in the close La Liga battle.

Lamine has five goals and 11 assists to his name in the ongoing La Liga 2024-25 campaign.
